Position: Registrar 

Classification: Salaried Exempt 

Reports To: Student Services Director 

 

About Us: 

Lenawee Christian Ministries provides a Christ-centered education, spiritual development, and wellness services to the Lenawee County community, centered around Jesus Christ.  

 

Position Summary: 

The Registrar is generally responsible for the documentation, management, and service of student records. This position also supports the overall responsibilities of the Student Services department. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Registering students and managing student information 

  • Maintaining permanent physical and computerized records including student cumulative folders, progress and failure reports, class rosters, schedule changes, and report cards 

  • Process new student records including requesting transcripts and records from other schools, setting up cumulative folders, and entering student data into appropriate databases 

  • Coordinate grading process, including processing of semester grades, verification and correction of grades, and printing and distribution of report cards 

  • Process and transmit requests for student information, including transcripts for colleges and universities 

  • Calculate grade point averages, class rank, and prepare honor rolls 

  • Assist counselors with the enrollment, withdrawals, and transfer of students and process applicable records 

  • Assist campus administration and counselors with the preparation of reports and student date information 

  • Prepare and distribute student identification cards, bus passes, and parking stickers 

  • Coordinate the ordering and distribution of all graduate materials, including caps, gowns, and diplomas 

  • Schedule college visits to the LCS campus 

  • Manage work permits for all 14–17-year-old students 

  • Oversee Teacher Awards program 

  • Assist Testing Coordinator as assigned 

  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Qualifications:  

  • Christian Faith: 

  • Profess and demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. 

  • Adherence to Christian principles and values in both personal and professional life. 

  • Educational Background/Experience: 

  • High School diploma is required; bachelor's degree is preferred 

  • Computer skills (Microsoft Suite, Google Suite), critical thinking ability, task and time management, and the ability to meet deadlines are critical  

  • 3-5 years of related experience is required
