Centre Director
Position: Centre Director
Job Classification: Full-time, Salaried Exempt
Reports to: LCM CEO
Overview:
The Centre Director is responsible for the overall operations of The Christian Family Centre and directs efforts to achieve the vision established by the Lenawee Christian Ministries Board within the parameters of the organization’s mission, purpose, philosophy, and standards.
Supervises: Five managers who oversee the areas of sales, fitness and wellness, Impact sports, evening operations and aquatics. Additionally, oversees the team of Centre Stage Audio-Visual Technicians.
Evaluation:
The CEO of Lenawee Christian Ministries will evaluate the Centre Director annually
Education:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required
Preference is given to candidates with a relevant master’s degree
Experience:
Minimum of five years’ experience in team management and customer service
Significant experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:
Fitness or wellness or community center management
Building and leading teams
Working in non-profit environments

The ability to integrate biblical truth and content into physical, spiritual, and social wellness
The ability to serve as a role model in attitude, speech and action toward others, above reproach and committed to biblical standards of conduct in all matters
A willingness to assist parents as they oversee their children’s education
Active and faithful involvement in a church with pastoral reference(s)
The ability to listen and respond appropriately to the counsel of others
Professional Requirements:
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
An ability to speak to large and small groups
Leadership skills and the ability to develop/mentor other leaders
Experience in program development and continuous program improvement
Experience in the analysis and evaluation of organizational and management programs, policies, and operational needs
Experience in supervision, training, and performance evaluation
Knowledge of public relations and marketing best practices
Solid oral and written communication skills
The ability to relate with people from various faiths and personal backgrounds
Understanding of budgeting, financial management, and stewardship
The ability to make timely decisions that are informed by appropriate data and input from supporting staff
Executive/Strategic Responsibilities:
The Centre Director is responsible for:
Executive leadership of The Centre, its employees, and its operations
Developing and executing the Centre Strategic Plan
Developing new strategic directions in coordination with the CEO of Lenawee Christian Ministries and The Centre Advisory Board
Benchmarking the Centre’s operational performance against peer and aspirant organizations with the goal of identifying new opportunities
Personnel Responsibilities:
The Centre Director is responsible for:
Developing and ensuring that roles, responsibilities and organizational structure are updated and available for all employees
Maintaining and recommending updates to the Employee Handbook and Procedures
Planning and administrating the orientation process for new staff
Completing performance reviews in a timely manner
Developing Performance Improvement Plans in conjunction with the HR Director and the CEO
Recommending compensation adjustments for staff
Providing engaging, relevant, and effective professional development
Hiring within LCM process & procedures guidelines
