Position: Pre-K After School Care
Classification: Part time
Reports To: Little Cougar Director
About Us:
Lenawee Christian Ministries provides a Christ-centered education, spiritual development, and social services to the Lenawee County community, centered around Jesus Christ.
Position Summary:
This person will work to ensure the proper care and safety needed for the children within their care. This person will need to have a warm and welcoming personality as well as have a general interest for children and their individual needs. This person will need to be creative and willing to have fun with children.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing a fun, safe, nurturing environment for preschool and pre-k children after school.
Ensuring the safety of the children through consistent supervision.
Engaging in games/activities with the students.
Treating the children, families, and staff with dignity and respect in all communications.
Assuming housekeeping responsibilities for the after-school classroom space to meet or exceed school and health department standards.
Qualifications:
Christian Faith:
Profess and demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Adherence to Christian principles and values in both personal and professional life.
Must be at least 16 years of age. Early childhood experience is preferred.
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
Have a TB skin test with a negative test result.
Obtain/maintain current CPR/First Aid certification.
Annually attain 16 hours of appropriate professional development training.
Ability to work well with others and especially with children.
Must be sensitive, mature and able to relate well to both children and parents.
Must have good communication skills.
